Palo Alto Creamery Fountain & Grill

Wow, I can’t believe the FF team didn’t hit me up for a monthly review in August! I must say, some of them were on a well deserved Vaca. One thing for sure, they came back starving for our September review. I was in the mood for Thai, however I was voted out as they all wanted to bring our hefty appetites into the Palo Alto Creamery Fountain & Grill located on Emerson St. in Palo Alto.

Everyone, if you’re looking for an all American meal like a thick juicy burger and milkshake (although the menu doesn’t stop there) then this is the place.

We showed up on a Saturday night around 6ish; luckily, they were able to seat us. No sooner than I got my pad and pen out water was on the table.

I’m a huge fan of diners, especially those that serve huge portions at a moderate price. I would definitely say PAC is a gourmet dinner that includes yummy burgers and hotdogs to tender beef ribs. This is certainly one of those diners you go to when you are in the mood for real home cooking away from home.

Let’s get down to the good stuff, I had the California burger. This baby was loaded with cheese, avocado and bacon all sandwiched between soft baked buns. The meat was cooked perfectly and was served with French fries. Of course, the meal wouldn’t be complete without a nice thick Chocolate milkshake – after two weeks the team is still talking about those milkshakes.

As I looked around the table, seemed we ordered one of everything, Chili Dogs, Mac n Cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, Mushroom Swiss Burgers along with fountain drinks and a real Cherry Coke. My only regret is I didn’t nab a piece of homemade pie.

Folks, be warned if you’re on a diet as I was don’t come within 50 yards as the yummy smell will lure you in. There breakfast selection looked awesome, may need to sneak up to PA one day and try it out.

To sum it up, very reasonable prices for the huge portions, fun place, service is very attentive, as the water glass was always full and you will roll out with a smile on your face.

I’ll end this with a question; anyone knows the recipe for that delicious Chocolate milkshake?
