Zachary’s Chicago Pizza

Holy smokes . . when we decided to review a pizza restaurant in Oakland, we had no idea it was going to be this good!

Although the wait can be kind of long (prepare to slam a few beers while you wait – if you like) Zachary’s Chicago Pizza at 5801 College Ave is definitely a must-visit if you're in the Oakland area!

We went for the 14” large stuffed Chicago style pizza that serves 4-5 for $27.75. The thin pizza is a little less, but they didn’t have the spinach mushroom available with thin.

The pizza was awesome it’s definitely a knife and fork kind of eating experience.

You can’t keep from noticing, they don't skimp on the toppings. The service was very good, they kept the water coming - the artwork is pretty cool too, so while there take a peak around. You can also order one to bake at home or call ahead so the pizza is ready to eat when you get there. I recommend the Spinach and Mushroom, it’s one of there signature pizza’s.

If you want to eat at the restaurant, plan on waiting around as we heard both locations are extremely popular and small, however the pizza is worth the wait.

Some of the patrons say this is better than pizza they had in Chicago – can anyone out there mail me a slice from the windy city so I can do a taste test?

FF Team!
