Monterey Bay Aquarium - a must
Cannery Row - great place if you have $$$$$
Fisherman's Wharf - good seafood

Coit Tower

The gf and I spent the day in SF a few weekends ago. We went up to Coit Tower, never been before. Quite the view. It wasn't on our list to do, but since we stopped for lunch in North Beach, the waiter was good enough to suggest it that it would be worth our time, we did it. Sometimes the simple things in life are the best. I'm hoping it's going to be nice this weekend, I'd like to go to the city and spend some time at CF. It's one of my most favorite places to walk with it's views of the GGB Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay.
It does get crowded especially in the summer but it's well worth spending some time there.
