The hubby and I usually drive up a few Saturday's each month and stroll around the Lake a few times. There's a pretty cool trail, it's very peaceful with an awesome view of the city. Olompali State Park

I do the short hike of 3 miles working on the longer one up the mountain side - heard it was about 11 miles total. I'm loosing weight, so it's a little at a time. Great scenery, not overly crowded from what I remember. I moved out of state for a bit, I'm back now, look forward to getting some good hikes in.

Ryder Court Park

This is a great park, something for everyone, yet kind of private since it's so huge. I usually jog the trails on the weekend. It even has a Dog portion at the end. It has plenty of picnic tables, kiddie area with swings, sand box and water shower. Parking lot is decent size, could be bigger, usually not a problem. Restrooms not the cleanest,..

Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve

Bring plenty of water and your best hiking shoes. A friend invited me over the weekend, this was a great work out. I didn't realize how out of shape I was. Presidio of San Francisco

The hubby and I went here and spent some time a few weeks back while in the city. What spectacular views of the bridge and bay. We did some hiking, had a picnic. We plan another trip to view some of the exhibits next time.
