I did this drive for the first time this past weekend. Great scenery, there's areas to stop along the way for photo shoots, we actually brought our lunch and had a picnic. It was a great way to enjoy our unplanned Saturday.

A real sign of the times!!!!!! Thanks for the "Easy on the Wallet " section. We plan on taking a drive over the hill to Santa Cruz for a few hours on Sat. just to get out. Not to exciting... but something to do.

Mount Hamilton Road

It's a long drive that we do every six months or so. Just take Alum Rock Ave all the way up. You will view Ranches, Foothills and eventually through the Diablo Mountain Range. The Lick Observatory is interesting in itself. You will be in Joseph D. Grant State Park. The drive down you will have views of Downtown San Jose, Moffett Field and oth..
