Lots has been written about this coffee shop. Green tea milk is my favorite. They have lots to choose from, place does get very crowded, especially at night can be difficult to get a seat.

Red Berry Coffee Bar

Small place but don't let that fool, best coffee in the downtown area. My gf likes the teas, I usually stop by now and then for a bagel, not a big selection but I can live with the roasted garlic they have. They do have a decent selection of pastries and muffins.

Elva's Coffee Stop

The gingerbread latte is my favorite. Great friendly service, prices are competitive to chains, I'm pro small independant business. I stop by now and then for a brew and kick back to read my book. Only problem I have is my resistance of their pastries . . . yummy.

I don't know if anyone can claim that they've perfected a cup of coffee but if anyone is close its Weavers. Soon as you walk thru the door you will smell that warm inviting sent of coffee being roasted. For you naturals out there they also have organic coffee.
