I usually stop in once or twice a week for coffee. Sometimes if I get lazy and don't make my lunch, I'll stop by and veg out with a sandwich. Of course I that means I'm tempted to try some of there baked goodies, the chocolate chip cookies rock. Service is fast and friendly, usually plenty of seating not a cramped coffee shop like others.

This is where I get my morning latte. Always, greeted with a friendly face, no attitude. Plus, you get a great cup at a very reasonable price compared to other coffee houses. A true gem in the Castro.

Hot Cups

I stumbled across this place while visiting some friends in Emeryville. I wish Hot Cups was in the South Bay, this place rocks. Coffee was good, nice but small food selection (pastries & sandwiches) prices are a lot cheaper than the chains.
I'd really classify this place as a nice neighborhood cafe and not just a coffee shop.

The space is clean there's free wifi, making it a good place to bring your laptop. The baked goods are always fresh. Best of all it's not another corporate run coffee shop.
