Half Moon Bay Getaway on Hightway 1
We just had a great long weekend in HMB. Did some bike riding, hiking, horseback riding and yes walked the beach. We stayed at the new Oceano Hotel, ate at Miramar's, Moss Beach Distillery (great brunch) and Sam's Chowder House. Well, with a January wedding anniversary and that it's too early in the year to take time off we decided to spend some winter time in Santa Cruz. Went there for a long weekend a few weeks back. Great views, we stayed at a motel close by since we wanted to be lazy and not camp. We did the hike to the summit. They say it last exploded in the early 1900's. You can see Mount Shasta in the distance along with other extinct volcanoes. The hubby took me here last year form my 30th. What a beautiful resort tucked away with beautiful views. I felt like a kid in a candy store, with a spa day with a massage and facial.
