When I fish I like to combine with a nice drive and get some camping in, it's the only way I can check out of the stress scene. Lake Almanor is a bit of a drive, about a hundred miles from Reno, I usually take Friday off and make a nice weekend getaway. Plenty of trout and small mouth bass.
