Finally after living in the bay area for the last 4 years I made it with some friends to Big Basin for a long weekend of much deserved r&r.
While camping out at the park, we took in the Waterfall Loop which was a good 10 mile hike or so, great scenery for picture taking lots of people out enjoying the falls. We also did a shorter one, probably about 5 miles or so called buzzards roost, lots of different rock formations. Coming from the city back East, this is what I love living in Northern California, you can have the city, along with so much nature within a short drive.
